Reportedly, the project will comprise a dual carriageway from 9th Avenue to Ammar Chowk.<\/p>\n<p>Under this project, a sewage treatment plant will also be developed at Adiala Village, where sewage will be treated for use in irrigation.<\/p>\n<p>The Leh Expressway project was inaugurated in 2007 by then president General (r) Pervez Musharraf, however, after the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) formed a provincial government in Punjab in 2008, the project was put on ice.<\/p>\n<p>Now the Punjab government has once again decided to resume the project and according to a news source, the authorities concerned have completed the survey of the area to acquire land for the project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has decided to resume development work on the Leh Expressway project.
