The winner of the contest was Mr Zaheer Khokhar hailing from Sukkur and the prize was awarded by Zeeshan Ali Khan the CEO of the Zameen.com.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The zeal and spirit of the patriots of Pakistan finally got rewarded on 29<sup>th<\/sup> August as Zameen.com held its prize distribution ceremony at its headquarters in Lahore. The promised prize which was the favourite smartphone of the year, Nokia Lumia 520, was handed to the winner of the photography competition of 14<sup>th<\/sup> August, the day of independence of Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>No doubt the photo contest invigorated a sagacity of jubilation of being a free and a sovereign nation of Pakistan among the people but at the headquarters of Zameen.com the judges simply got thrilled by experiencing the ever electrifying spirit which was reflected in the pictures uploaded by the contestants on Zameen\u2019s Facebook fan page.<\/p>\n<p>Judging among the contestants was particularly challenging for the jury as more than 500 unique entries were received which were also voted by the nation according to their preferences and the winner was to be filtered out from the haze of 6000 collective votes. But despite the technological advancement of the prominent cities of Pakistan, the humble city of Sukkur wrenched away the prize through its unique and rather natural depiction of emotions of the children of Pakistan as they waved the flag of their beloved country on a red bricked rooftop of their humble abode. The picture was posted by Zaheer Khokhar and though the picture was humble yet it harnessed a lot of joyous energy and felt very natural.<\/p>\n<p>The ecstatic winner of the competition, while expressing his happiness said, \u201cThis is the first time I have ever been rewarded in any competition in my life. I was really looking forward to this event ever since my picture got selected by Zameen.com as the winner.\u201d Khokhar further added, \u201cActually getting rewarded in real is a rare sight to behold. They are running. It is dynamic &#8211; lots of action and the characters in the frame are doing something interesting individually without crossing each other\u2019s space.
