Karachi: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Administrator Sajjad Hussain Abbasi has ordered land management staff to immediately start compiling a directory of amenity plots in the city.<\/p>\n
According to a press release issued by KMC, Mr Abbasi conducted a meeting of the land management staff on September 7 at Civic Centre, in which he expressed concerns over illegal occupation of the government\u2019s land and stressed upon the need to secure it by compiling the directory.<\/p>\n
Officials were directed to increase revenue by auctioning off unused land, or to efficiently utilise it to solve problems within the public housing sector.<\/p>\n
The administrator also made it clear that officers who do not improve their performance will be dismissed.<\/p>\n
