District Nazim Maghfirat Shah said civil society and the government had the same stance regarding the importance of Chitral for CPEC. If the proposed route is chosen, it would quicken the pace of development and bring prosperity to the region, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Shah further said Chitral held great strategic importance, as a route through the region was the shortest path between Pakistan and Tajikistan.
