Those of you who are estate agents would know just how overwhelming has the response been for all of Malik Riaz\u2019s projects in Karachi and that goes to say that not only is Karachi ready for Bahria Town but it\u2019s also eagerly awaiting it. It won\u2019t be wrong to say that Bahria Town has indeed taken Karachi by storm (partly because of their marketing efforts).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Speaking of marketing efforts, who can forget a minute or two long advertisements of Bahria Town on prime time television which caught the attention of the masses! Hardly anyone noticed short, inconspicuous CDA advertisements for D12 and E12 which were airing at the same time and were sandwiched between Bahria Town\u2019s ads. CDA, for many years now, has been <a title=\"CDA in a whirlpool of crisis\" href=\"in a whirlpool of crisis \" target=\"_blank\">i<\/a><a title=\"CDA in a whirlpool of crisis \" href=\"http:\/\/www.zameen.com\/blog\/cda-in-whirlpool-of-crises\/\" target=\"_blank\">n a whirlpool of troubles<\/a>, some of which are administrative while other financial.<\/p>\n<p>Corruption has been a long standing problem with almost all government institutions in general and <a title=\"How can CDA cope with its impending crisis? \" href=\"http:\/\/www.zameen.com\/blog\/how-can-cda-cope-with-its-impending-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\">CDA in particular<\/a>. It was not too long ago that the scandal of government distributing plots in D12 and E12 like candies made headlines in the papers. For the remaining plots they opted for balloting and invited applications. The response they have received so far, in contrast with what has been the case with Bahria Town Karachi, is disappointing. Reports reveal that for a total of 500 plots, CDA has only received less than 100 applications so far.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zameen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/agents-interview.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1866\" alt=\"agents interview\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zameen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/agents-interview.jpg\" width=\"397\" height=\"232\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news-cdn.zameen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/agents-interview.jpg 397w, https:\/\/news-cdn.zameen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/agents-interview-300x175.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 397px) 100vw, 397px\" \/><\/a>The situation has been opposite for Bahria Town Karachi. Muhammad Younus Rizvi of Shelter Group has alone processed 500 applications. The sheer difference between these numbers goes to say volumes about the faith people have in both the developers. While some people believe price may have a role to play here and that many people shy away from investing in D12 and E12 because of their extortionate rates but it also remains a fact that CDA does not command people\u2019s respect or trust the way Bahria Town now does. So kudos to Malik Riaz and hats off to Bahria Town for a job well done!
