Some areas of the sector have yet to be balloted.<\/p>\n<p>There is, however, a bit of good news which I am going to share with you all in this blog post.<\/p>\n<p>On January 23, 2016, Bahria Town issued a notification titled \u20182<sup>nd<\/sup> balloting Sector F &#8211; residential blocks\u2019. The notification reads that the developer will hold the second round of balloting in the sector on March 15, 2016. Only those members who have cleared their instalments but could not get plot numbers will be included in this round.<\/p>\n<p>In the same notification, Bahria Town has stated that development work on the balloted plots will commence on the same date and will be completed within 4 months.<\/p>\n<p>With this notification, affectees of the sector should heave a sigh of relief. Then, they should patiently wait for a few months to see if the plan is implemented as claimed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Issue of land<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The last time I covered Sector F\u2019s dilemma in my blog post, I learned about the allegation that Bahria Town has not acquired land for the sector, which was denied by a Bahria Town official requesting anonymity.<\/p>\n<p>Somehow, this second round of balloting gives a hint that Bahria Town has acquired the required land, but I cannot be certain about it at this point in time.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ali Amin of Glorious Realty, Ghaznavi Block, Tipu Block, Sher Shah Block, and Sikandar Block are on ground, but none of them have been granted possession. He added that Alamgir Block, Abu Bakar Block, and Sheikh Saadi Block can only be traced on map.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Property prices in Sector F<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to stats meticulously maintained by Zameen.com, the average price of 10-marla plots in Sector F in January 2016 stands at PKR 5,672,805, while the average price of 1-kanal plots is PKR 8,213,436. Even though the sector has been facing various controversies, I have witnessed a reasonable increase in prices in the last one year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Impact of the Lahore Ring Road (LRR)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Asked about the impact of the LRR on Sector F, Amin said the ongoing issue of the LRR route cutting through Bahria Town will not affect activity in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>That is all about Sector F for the day.
