Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif announced a huge PKR 20 billion package to compensate landowners who will have to give up their land to the Orange Line Metro Train project.<\/p>\n

The CM stated this while addressing a video conference at Civil Secretariat on February 4. According to a news source, he paid specific attention to the process of payment to affectees and mentioned that the compensation would include the price of land, the price of any construction on it, an allowance for the loss of business and\/or a relocation allowance.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the CM stressed upon the need to expedite the payment process and mentioned that an efficient system is in place to compensate affectees through a one-window payment centre.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
