Today, I have another update to share, and this time it\u2019s a promising one!<\/p>\n<p>This issue has finally taken a turn in favour of the affectees. Yesterday, Bahria Town\u2019s management rolled out a public notice which clearly stated that the higher authorities have ruled out their plan to have the LRR pass through Bahria Town and have asked the developer to craft a new proposal in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>The notification specified that Bahria Town will make an announcement about the new alignment of the LRR soon and none of the members will have to bear any loss whatsoever. Furthermore, property dealers were requested to continue their business in the affected areas at market rates.<\/p>\n<p>Towards the end, the management thanked members for their cooperation and ensured them that Bahria Town would continue to serve them and look out for their interests.<\/p>\n<p>When the notification started making rounds yesterday, many people refused to take it seriously and doubted its authenticity. I saw this coming because I am of the view that Malik Riaz would never leave this issue unaddressed. Moreover, he had personally assured affectees during two video conferences that he would look into the matter.<\/p>\n<p>It is understandable that members were worried about the LRR issue, but now they need to turn a deaf ear to all rumours and wait for further announcements from Bahria Town\u2019s management about the LLR\u2019s new alignment.<\/p>\n<p>I am happy about this development, as it will strengthen investor confidence and have a positive impact on property prices in the locality.
