Some of the developments are, indeed, high-end and match the living requirements of the city\u2019s elite class. However, there are many other sectors\/ housing projects that have become a bone of contention between the CDA and plot allottees.<\/p>\n<p>According to a news source, sectors such as C-13, C-14, C-15 and C-16 have not been completed even after eight years of launch. The worst part is that the authority has not been able to acquire all the land required for these sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat recently discussed land acquisition issue for the said sectors. Reportedly, the meeting was presided over by Senator Talha Mahmood.<\/p>\n<p>Some documents were presented during the meeting and according these the authority has acquired 745 kanals of land for Sector C-13, 1,550 kanals for Sector C-14, 3,261 kanals for Sector C-15 and 7,448 kanals for Sector C-16.<\/p>\n<p>The documents clearly stated that the CDA has not completed the built-up property survey of Sector C-13. Furthermore, the authority does not have records for Sector C-14, per the new source.<\/p>\n<p>The authority is allotting plots in Sector C-15, but it does not possess all the land required. Worse still, the situation of Sector C-16 is almost the same.<\/p>\n<p>The news source added that the sectors in question were supposed to be developed through a land-sharing formula: to acquire 4 kanals of land, the CDA would provide 1-kanal in the respective sector to original landowner(s).<\/p>\n<p>According to the federal capital\u2019s master plan, the civic authority is bound to develop 56 residential projects, however, it has been able to develop only 28 sectors so far.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, a CDA official told reporters that the authority has commenced development work in Sector C-15. Yet, this sector will cater to the housing needs of elite class only.<\/p>\n<p>So, those who have invested in the mentioned sectors need to adopt a wait-and-see policy until the CDA plays its part in resolving these long-standing issues.<\/p>\n<p>It must be remembered that the case of Park Enclave, the CDA literally surprised investors by completing Phase I of the project within record time.
