Provincial Finance Minister Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that the names of property tax defaulters will be published in the national newspapers. The minister further said that the names will be published besides taking disciplinary action against them. <\/p>\n
He expressed these views during a meeting of Excise and Taxation Department that was held to review target and recovery. Secretary Excise & Taxation, DG and Directors attended the meeting. He further directed officials to educate the citizens that only timely payment of taxes can avoid any embarrassment and complication. <\/p>\n
The government will also launch welfare projects for the masses from tax money. Minister further directed that every possible resource must be utilized to achieve targets of collection of taxes and accelerate recovery. <\/p>\n
The Minister asked to improve and simplify the taxation system to achieve maximum results and to provide maximum facilities to the tax payers. A major portion of property tax was lost due to corruption so there is an immediate need for remedial measures. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
