Yesterday, a workshop was held by the Excise Department to train the Excise team as to how to go about conducting new property survey. <\/p>\n
Several officers of Excise Department including Shahid Ashraf Tararr \u2013 Secretary Excise, Humayun Mazhar Sheikh \u2013 D.G. Excise, Ashiq Hussain Shah \u2013 Director Excise and Akram Ashraf Gondal and several others attended the meeting. <\/p>\n
Addressing the team, Secretary Excise said that survey will be conducted both by survey staff and officers. It is also recommended to award a month salary to all the survey staff. <\/p>\n
At the meeting, D.G. Excise said that 10 percent property tax will be collected from 1st January, 2014 and 30 percent new units will also be added in the tax system, which were previously not there in the database.
