The excise department is all set to start the property tax survey from 1st of July 2013. The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department is all set to launch the PUIPT survey at an estimated cost of Rs 910 million from 1st July, with the help of its own staff plus technical assistance from Urban Unit, another government organization. Prior to this survey, the government had conducted this property survey in 2001 which was 12 years ago. In this duration many new properties have been constructed and cities have expanded manifolds.<\/p>\n
The department will be conducting a door to door survey in five districts in 500 cricles with 750 ETO\u2019s. The inspectors will be aided by technical support team from the Urban Unit team who would be take pictures from laptop and register data. The integrity of the ETO\u2019s remained a question though and the DG Excise department said that he could not say anything with certainty about their transparency but the department will have to choose the officers from within. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
