The excise department continues to plough their way into the murky waters of tax defaulters and work diligently to pursue the given target of 100% recovery by 30th June 2013. The taxation department has ordered their officers to continue the crackdown and work on the weekend as well, to meet their targets. The Director of the excise department formed four teams comprising of the taxation officers who worked on a Sunday and sealed properties of tax defaulters.<\/p>\n
The taxation officers took action in Garden Town, Mazang, Sham Nagar, Chowburji, Township, Faisal town, Allama Iqbal Town, and Multan Road. 70 properties were sealed while bigger tax defualters were contacted by the taxation department\u2019s higher ups as legal action was taken against them.
