Karachi: Turkish Housing Scheme in Thatta will accommodate flood-affected families of Districts Thatta and Sujawal, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah told reporters.<\/p>\n
According to details, Turkish Housing Scheme is being constructed with the support of the Turkish government and it will feature 2,120 two-room units having a kitchen, a courtyard, a bathroom and a veranda. The project will also feature two schools, three masajids, 12 shops, a healthcare center, two community centers and a sports complex.<\/p>\n
While presiding over a meeting to discuss the project, Shah said that nominees of these houses must be permanent and current residents of Thatta and Sujawal and they should be beneficiaries of CDCP-II (Watan Card Phase II).<\/p>\n
Giving details on the criteria, Shah stated that the nominees must also fall under the national poverty score card of Benazir Income Support Programme and they must not have been provided a shelter or related help from the government and any NGO before.
