\nFollowing his visit to different development projects throughout the province, Syed Qaim Ali Shah the Chief Minister of Sindh, has expressed dissatisfaction with the slow output and a general lack of interest in the development projects by the concerned development departments. These sentiments were expressed by him while presiding over a joint meeting of the Irrigation Department, the Works and Services Department, the Planning and Development Department and the Finance Department, which was held at the Chief Minister\u2019s House.\n<\/p>\n
\nAll the aforementioned departments are chocked with officers and the adequate staff that is needed to accomplish any given task but despite that, these departments are not performing as per the expectations of people and the government officials. CM declared that despite having the required number of team members and still not meeting the expectations, the departments would be guilty of negligence. The CM pointed out that the total expenditure of a number of these departments was far less than the funds released to them.\n<\/p>\n
\nInstead of waiting for May or June (which is when the government is expected to present budget for the new fiscal year), all the concerned departments must gather the momentum and accomplish all the incomplete tasks of the development schemes, in all the sectors, so that the deprived people of the province are given necessary basic facilities.\n<\/p>\n
\nAccording to the sources out of a total amount of Rs 111 billion allocated for the Annual Development Programme, Rs 45.30 billion have already been released to a number of departments but the respective departments have only spent Rs 20 billion thus far. The Chief Minister stressed that all the concerned departments must utilize all of their resources to accelerate the developmental work so that the concerned departments can complete all of the ongoing projects within the desired frame of time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
