\nTaking notice of a large number of public complaints the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started a survey of barriers erected on various roads by diplomatic missions, private companies and schools in the name of security.The sources said that the most of barriers, in Diplomatic Enclave and posh sectors, have been installed without seeking permission from the civic body.\n<\/p>\n
\nDirector Municipal Administration Mansoor Ali Khan told The News that during a survey conducted by himself and SP Security Islamabad, they have found barriers installed on roads at 157 places in Diplomatic Enclave. We are also compiling a report about barriers raised by foreign missions in Diplomatic Enclave and located at other places and it will be sent to the foreign missions so that the matters could be taken up at some appropriate forum, Mansoor said.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe CDA official said they have also removed barriers created by private schools some elite of the city from different places to facilitate the public. We have been receiving lot of complaints from residents of different sectors who were upset over self-created security measures without taking CDA or Islamabad Police into confidence, he said.
