\nIslamabad: A petitioner moved the Islamabad High Court (IHC) here on Tuesday adopting that the Pak-PWD has paid Rs77 million to a contractor for the construction of a road, which has not been built at all.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe petitioner, Sharafat Ali Chaudhry, adopted before the IHC that the Pak-PWD paid the aforementioned amount to a contractor for constructing \u2018Khaira Distributors Road\u2019 in Lahore in the constituency of NA-302. The amount was paid to the contractor despite the fact that road was never built, the petitioner alleged.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe petitioner maintained that the amount was paid at the orders of Pak-PWD Executive Engineer Muhammad Ramzan, who was later promoted as chief engineer.\n<\/p>\n
\nA Pak-PWD superintendent engineer, who pointed out the corruption, was made an OSD.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe petitioner has prayed to the court to take appropriate action against the responsible persons in this matter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
