\nPunjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that credit for helping the low-income people realize the dream of owning their own houses, goes to the PML-N which started Aashiyana housing project in the province. He said that, after Lahore, work on Aashiyana housing schemes will be started in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal and Jehlum next month. He was presiding over a meeting regarding the Aashiyana housing project at the Chief Minister\u2019s Secretariat.\n<\/p>\n
\nPunjab Land Development Company chairman MPA Sheikh Alauddin, MPA Kh. Imran Nazir, the Planning & Development chairman, the secretaries of Housing and Finance departments, Member Colonies and District Coordination Officers of Sargodha, Sahiwal, Faisalabad and Jehlum were also present. Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said that Aashiyana housing schemes, equipped with modern residential facilities, had been started by the government for the first time in the country\u2019s history for the benefit of the poor, widows, orphans and the families of martyrs. He said that the common man would have all those residential facilities in Aashiyana Housing Schemes which were available to the elite in modern housing societies. He said that transparency in the execution of the development projects was the hallmark of Punjab government and Aashiyana housing schemes would also be completed in a highly transparent manner.\n<\/p>\n
\nCM for end to terrorism: Shahbaz Sharif has said Pakistan is passing through the most critical phase of its history and facing challenges of terrorism and extremism. He said the aim of the national progress and development could not be achieved without elimination of terrorism. He said there was a dire need for national harmony and brotherhood and the situation demanded that the nation should unite on a single platform and foil the nefarious designs of anti-Pakistan elements. He was talking to a delegation of Ulema led by Mohtamim Jamia Naeemia Allama Raghib Hussain Naeemi on Tuesday. The delegation also included Mufti Intikhab and Maulana Tajwar Naeemi.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe chief minister said enemy was bent upon destabilising Pakistan, and terrorism had not only destroyed civic peace but also left a negative impact on national economy. He said strengthening of security was essential for investment and promotion of trade and industrial activities. He said there was a need for shunning petty differences and forging unity for ensuring peace and progress of the country. Leader of delegation Allama Raghib Hussain Naeemi assured that Ulema would spare no stone unturned for foiling the evil designs of the enemy and restoring peace in the society.\n<\/p>\n
