Gwadar: Development work on Phase I of the Gwadar Water Supply Line Project has been 55% completed according to a news source. The project was approved by the Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) in May 2015 with an estimated cost of PKR 11.39 billion. So far, a 37 kilometres long supply line for the project has been laid. In the meantime, a desalination plant is also planned to set up soon. For the Phase II of this project, under which a water line from Shadi Kor Dam and a sewerage treatment plant will be set up, the federal government is holding talks with China over project financing.
