Rawalpindi: The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department (ETNCD)\u2019s Rawalpindi branch has sealed 55 property units in its crackdown against property tax evaders on Thursday, according to a news source. The operation lasted two days.<\/p>\n

During the crackdown, the team also extracted on spot payments; the property owner of building on Murree Road near Satellite Town paid the due tax of PKR 550,000 at the spot and saved the building from getting sealed.<\/p>\n

Reportedly, the team also made a recovery of PKR 2,000,000 from non-taxpayers, while the department expects to recover PKR 6,000,000 from the owners of 55 buildings that were sealed. According to Excise and Taxation Property Cell Officer Riaz Qureshi, the crackdown was held on Friday as well for the recovery of property tax.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
