Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) is considering changing the status of 20 roads from non-commercial to commercial, as commercial activities on these roads is significantly high, according to a news source. The process has already been initiated but the final decision is yet to be taken.<\/p>\n

Reportedly, the final decision will be taken once the new land usage rules are released. According to sources, these rules have been finalised. A notification will be issued in this regard in the beginning of 2018, after which the status of under-consideration 20 roads, including Defence Road, New Morgah Road, and High Court Road, will be officially changed to commercial.<\/p>\n

This will also help the authority earn millions in terms of commercial fee, and arrange for parking space from the owners of these properties, which is a must according to RDA\u2019s Building Bylaws for commercial property.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
