Lahore: A notice for Section 4 has been issued for the 293-kanal land acquisition for Thokar to Hudyiara Drain Road expansion, according to a news source. The land acquisition plan for the 11-kilometre road were been changed a while ago.<\/p>\n

According to the new plan, an additional 104 kanals of land will be acquired for a bus stop and related facilities in Chohang, Mohlanwal and Kanjran. For this purpose, a notification for Section 5 will be issued soon. Under this section, the objections of landowners will be heard.<\/p>\n

Reportedly, the differences between the government and the landowners over compensation are yet to be sorted out. The landowners have rejected offers made by the government \u2013 they are looking to get commercial rates for their land.
