This has come in addition to the previous stamp tax which was imposed as per Deputy Commissioner (DC) rates. Now, the Punjab Government has also imposed a construction stamp duty. This means that on transfer of plots, in addition to DC rate, code area tax will also be imposed.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Finance has detailed other departments about code areas. According to a gazette notification, residential plots have been imposed with an additional PKR 35 to PKR 40 per feet, whereas, commercial plots have been imposed with PKR 60 to PKR 65 per feet.
