Lahore: The Government of Punjab has approved the feasibility report for setting up the Green Railway Corridor along the railway track that runs between Shahdara and Raiwind, reported a news source. On the 228 acres of railway land, heaps of garbage will be replaced with walkways, sports facilities, libraries, open gymnasium and children\u2019s play areas.<\/p>\n
On the greenbelt connected with the railway track, Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) will also plant 32,500 trees. For implementing the project plan for Green Railway Corridor, the PHA has asked for funds worth over PKR 1 billion from the Punjab Development Board.
