Gujranwala: Excise and Taxation Department has decided to impose property tax on 5-marla rental houses, according to a news report. The department has also decided to impose entertainment tax on cinemas and circuses again. The recommendations for this have been sent to the Punjab Government.<\/p>\n

The tax on rental houses had been lifted almost 10 years ago, but the taxes on commercial property had been kept in place. The entertainment tax rate will range between 15% and 20%.
