Karachi: On Monday, it was announced that the completion date of K-IV water supply project had been pushed back to mid-2019 instead of June 2018, according to a news report. This project was to supply 260 million gallons of water per day from the Indus River to Karachi.
\nLocal Government Minister Jam Khan Shoro stated that the project was a 120-km long route, and was no easy task to complete. He also reported that 40% of the work had been completed, but due to some unavoidable complications, the first deadline stated could not be met. Talking about the project\u2019s details, he said that three filtration plants will be set up on Pipri, near Baqai Medical University on the Super Highway, and in Manghopir. These plants would filter the water before supplying it to the citizens.
