Lahore: The breaking up of roads after they have been laid has been banned in Lahore, according to a news report. The ban was placed to stop the destruction of roads for utility lines or other infrastructure projects after the roads have been constructed.<\/p>\n

Officials from Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA), Lahore Development Authority (LDA), and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) have decided to form a coordination committee for this purpose. The committee will make decisions about laying down of utility lines on newly made roads.
