Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has stated that because there isn’t any master plan, rapid illegal construction is taking place in Rawalpindi, reported a\u00a0news report. The Apex court also highlighted that certain parts of\u00a0city have environmentally sensitive areas, therefore no construction should take place there.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0three-member bench of the Supreme Court including Justice Maqbool Baqar, Justice Faisal Arab, and Justice Aijaz Afzal Khan highlighted that such master plans were needed in Murree, Kahuta, Kotli Sattiyan, along with three sub-divisions of Rawalpindi.<\/p>\n

Justice Afzal highlighted that without any master plan in place, the government can\u2019t easily proceed with demolishing illegally constructed buildings.
