Islamabad: According to\u00a0 notification issued by the Ministry of Interior,\u00a0 Islamabad Rent Restriction Ordinance now applies to approved housing societies in Zone V, reported a news source. The ministry has excluded Zone IV from the rent ordinance, while the Capital Development Authority (CDA) had recommended otherwise.<\/p>\n
As per the notification, the ordinance will be applicable on Zone V areas declared as urban areas by the CDA except for land and buildings in the Diplomatic Enclave and properties owned or leased by the government.<\/p>\n
In its comments sought by the Ministry, the CDA recommended that the ordinance be extended to Zone IV as well as this zones consists of several populated area, seen proliferation commercial buildings was seen during the last one decade.<\/p>\n
