Karachi: The Sindh Government has turned down the National Highway Authority\u2019s request for usage of 400 metres of land on both sides of the motorway for the construction of temporary and permanent structures, according to a news source. Instead, the governement has granted permission for the usage of only 50 metres of land on either side.<\/p>\n

The Sindh Cabinet turned down the NHA\u2019s request and approved an amendment to West Pakistan Highways Ordinance to give 50 metres land for construction of related structures. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah stated that in all provinces, 50m was the standard width given to the NHA for setting up structures along the motorway, and the demand for 400m could not be catered to.
