A work update was been given by Gujranwala Commissioner Captain (retd.) Muhammad Asif on 15<sup>th<\/sup> April 2018 while visiting the site at Shehbazpur with other senior officials of the irrigation department.<\/p>\n<p>Among the senior representatives were Sialkot Deputy Commissioner Dr. Farrukh Naveed, Gujrat Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa, and various other dignitaries. Asif said that the Punjab government have spent PKR 5 billion up until now and would like to connect the districts of Sialkot and Gujrat. It is expected that this new bridge would reduce the distance between Sambrial-Sialkot and Jalalpur Jattan-Gujrat by about 50%.
