Multan: The Excise & Taxation (E&T) Department has increased its efforts to ensure recovery of taxes, according to a news report. The Government of Punjab had set a target of PKR 2 billion for the E&T Department in the year 2017-18. However, the department has only made 62% of the recoveries so far. Efforts have been increased to meet the target in the next two and half months.<\/p>\n
In the endeavour to meet the targets, E&T has sealed more than 400 properties of tax defaulters in Multan during the past month.
