Rawalpindi: The Annual Plan Coordination Committee (APCC) has approved PKR 57.7 million for phase III of the Khanpur Dam water supply project, according to a news report. The funds have been issued to the Cantonment Board. Instruction have also been given to immediately release the approved funds so that important machinery for the project could be bought, water-treatment plan upgraded and supply networking completed.<\/p>\n
According to details, the APCC meeting was headed by Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal. Planning Division officials briefed the meeting about the delay and resultant increase in cost for the project.
