Lahore: With the help of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), the Punjab Board of Revenue has started to recover revenue worth billions of rupees from private real estate developers who illegally acquired land owned by the government, according to a news source. Reportedly, the mushrooming housing societies in Lahore encroached upon government land meant for roads and paths leading to agricultural land, and on land allocated for sewerage lines and drains with the help of local patwaris <\/em>and sold it at per marla rates of several hundred thousands.<\/p>\n To recover price of this land from the developers, the Board of Revenue is being assisted by the LDA, Lahore Electric Supply Company, and Water and Sanitation Agency.
