Lahore: The Punjab Government has planned to inaugurate the Orange Line Metro Train Project by 31st May, 2018, according to a news report. The government has deployed additional workforce on different parts of the 21.7 km long track to meet this timeline, as 40% to 50% electrical and mechanical work is yet to be completed.<\/p>\n
The project comprises of various packages, and sources have revealed that mechanical and electrical work on Package-II lags behind. However, Chairman of the steering committee on OLMTP Khawaja Ahmad Hassan said that work is well underway and will be completed by 31st May, 2018.<\/p>\n
The Chief Justice of Pakistan has already given orders to complete the project as soon as possible as the ongoing construction is affecting the commuters.
