Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority has issued notices to the owners of two marquees located on Club Road, asking them to bring their projects in line with the defined building regulations within a time period of 15 days, according to a news report. The owners are required to follow these proceedings within a fifteen-day period.<\/p>\n
This problem primarily occurred because March 2013, the CDA Building Directorate had given approval for the land, originally meant for motels, to be temporarily used as marriage halls. In this regard, the directorate also approved building plans for the installation of these marquees without getting consent from the federal government.<\/p>\n
The permission was withdrawn in March 2017 on which, the owners of wedding halls got a stay order from the court. In the meanwhile, various new marquees had sprung up in the area. To curb the increasing trend of non-confirming use of land meant for agricultural farms, the recent steps taken by the civic authority were deemed necessary.<\/p>\n
