Karachi: Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) has formed an online water tanker centre to facilitate the citizens of Karachi, according to a news report. Now, the \u00a0public will be able to get a water tanker just on a phone call.<\/p>\n
According to the details, KWSB\u2019s Tanker and Hydrant Cell formed the online centre on the instructions of Managing Director (MD) Khalid Mahmood Shiekh. Now the citizens can call from 9 AM to 5 PM to get a water tanker delivered to their homes and they won\u2019t have to stand in long lines. The following telephone numbers have been issued for the purpose:\u00a0 99245152, 99245178, and 99240802.<\/p>\n
To divide the tankers judiciously between different areas of the city, each area has been assigned a quota. In case an area\u2019s quota is utilised for the day and a citizen calls for tanker from that area, they will be offered the commercial tanker. In case they refuse the offer, their name will be noted for the next day\u2019s quota.<\/p>\n
