Gujranwala: FBR has sent notices to 35,000 NTN holders of Gujranwala division who hadn\u2019t filed tax returns, according to a news source. It is the first time that tax notices have been dispatched in such large numbers.<\/p>\n
The authorities have been reported as saying that tax cases are being scrutinised and at least 5000 more notices will be sent during the current month. In the notices, NTN-holders have been allowed one month\u2019s time to file the returns and to pay their taxes. Notices have also warned that otherwise the officials of Regional Tax Office will be able authorised to determine their taxes unilaterally.<\/p>\n
