In this regard, the authority has prepared four model food stalls for fresh juices, fruit <em>chaat <\/em>and<em> dahi bhalay, <\/em>shawarmas, and burgers.<\/p>\n<p>The project was proposed some months ago by PFA Director General Noor-ul-Amin Mengal for curbing the practice of selling food items cooked, prepared and sold from unhygienic food stalls. At the moment, Lahore has over 70,000 road-side food stalls selling unhygienic food items.<\/p>\n<p>One food stall is expected to cost PKR 30,000 to PKR 40,000, for which Akhuwat will grant interest-free loans on easy terms and conditions. These food stalls will also help make Lahore look more beautiful.
