Multan: Taking notice of road collapse incidents on Suraj Miani Road, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has decided to shut down the 40 year old sewerage line, a news source reported. A new line has been laid but the old one was not closed, which had caused the road to sink in several separate incidents.<\/p>\n
The old line is being plugged at 23 points and WASA authorities have imposed a state of emergency on the matter due to sewerage complaints in the area. Other measures have been taken as well.
