Islamabad: The District Magistrate has imposed Section 144 in the federal capital where, along with several other acts, marketing campaigns by private real estate developers and work at stone crushing sites will also stay halted, reported a news source. With Section 144 in place, rallies, demonstrations, public gatherings exceeding five people, display of weapons, and use of loudspeakers and amplifiers to deliver controversial speeches will all be banned.<\/p>\n
In this regard, the District Magistrate has issued seven notifications. One of the notices reads that Section 144 has been imposed throughout the district, and those breaching it will face legal charges under Section 188.<\/p>\n
Another notice specified that a two-month ban is in place on stone crushing sites to reduce noise pollution in the area, while the developers of private housing schemes are ordered to not market their project through advertisements, brochures, and hand bills. In addition to that, the sale, purchase, and possession of fire crackers has also been banned.<\/p>\n
