Lahore: Total forest land coverage in Pakistan has dropped to 1.9% of the whole country, a news source quoted South Punjab Forest Company (SPFCO) Chief Executive Officier Tahir Rashid. He was briefing the media on a project to set up commercial forests in South Punjab.<\/p>\n
Under this project, 400 million trees will be planted in different parts of Southern Punjab. According to Rashid, the said project will not only help improve environmental conditions in the country, but also play a pivotal role in improving the economy.
