Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has rejected a request by K-Electric to increase a seven-year tariff so that additional investment into the private sector can be facilitated, according to a news report. K-electric has been further told to stop collecting charges for bills from consumers. Furthermore, it is to pay interest on any and all security deposits. And finally, it has been asked to stop the practice of charging rent to consumers who have paid for the cost of the metre they are using.<\/p>\n
