Karachi: Tax professionals have requested the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to remove forms about income returns by overseas Pakistanis, according to a news report. This statement has been given by the Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) President Khalid Mahmood who said that non-resident Pakistani citizens shouldn\u2019t be required to file income returns unless they earn in Pakistan.<\/p>\n
Mahmood gave this statement while reviewing the draft return form, section 114 (1) of which states that there is no need for non-residents to file any return if they aren\u2019t earning in this country.<\/p>\n
The KTBA made observations that in the wealth reconciliation statement under the head \u201cother\u201d appearing in both the \u201cinflows\u201d and \u201coutflows\u201d, a separate description box should be added which can facilitate the taxpayers and also help in preventing unnecessary notices by the officer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
