Islamabad: The engineering community has expressed the need to utilising hydropower resource as a means to overcoming energy crisis in the country, stated a news report. During a seminar held at the Institute of Engineers in Rawalpindi, Islamabad Centre (IEP-RI), the members highlighted the importance of hydropower as an effective resource to meet the growing energy needs of the country.<\/p>\n

The seminar was aimed at creating awareness about the importance of hydropower and its role in the country\u2019s socio-economic development. The seminar was headed by Heavy Mechanical Complex Taxila Deputy General Manager Dr. Ajaz Bashir Janjua who gave a detailed presentation on \u2018Utilization and indigenization of hydropower as a renewable source in Pakistan\u2019.
