Rawalpindi: The Agriculture Department Punjab has decided to subsidise solar panels by 80% to promote drip and sprinkler irrigation agriculture, a news source reported. Tunnel installation to promote tunnel farming will also be subsidised by 50%.<\/p>\n

Drip and sprinkler irrigation systems can significantly reduce the amount of water usage for agriculture and these methods are being used for agriculture in developed countries.
