Mangla Refurbishment Project is a WAPDA project with an approved PC-I cost of PKR 52.224bn. The project, once complete, will increase the generation capacity of Mangla Hydel Power Station to 1,310MW.<\/p>\n<p>The refurbishment project has been divided into 11 packages. Package-9 involves up-gradation of Mangla power station\u2019s switchyard. Refurbishment of the first two units will be completed next, while the project is set to be completed by 2024.<\/p>\n<p>USAID has provided USD 150 million grant for the project, while Agence Fran\u00e7aise de D\u00e9veloppement (AFD) is providing a loan of EUR 90 million.
