Lahore: The Excise & Taxation (E&T) department has decided to seal big homes for non-payment of luxury tax, and impose 200% fine on non-payment of token tax to car owners, a news source reported. The cars would also be impounded at the police stations.<\/p>\n

E&T teams have been formed for recovery under the instruction of provincial excise minister Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmad. The department had sent notices to luxury houses of 2 or more kanals asking them to pay luxury tax. Similarly, automobile owners were also duly warned and provided extra time.<\/p>\n
