Islamabad: The National Assembly on Wednesday approved the amendments to the Supplementary Finance (Amendment) Bill 2018, also known as the mini-budget, with a majority vote, according to a news report. In this approved budget, the PTI government has withdrawn its decision of allowing non-tax filers to purchase properties and automobile, however, overseas Pakistanis have been exempted from the requirement.<\/p>\n
Previously, the Finance Minister had announced that the government will remove the restriction on non-filers from buying properties valuing greater than PKR 5 million. The rationale for the decision given at the time was that the requirement had triggered complaints from the overseas Pakistanis.
