Narowal: The district government has repossessed 1,792 kanals of state land from influential personalities during the past week in Narowal district, a news source reported. This was also a part of the Punjab government\u2019s drive to retrieve state land around the province.<\/p>\n

According to the report, 6,373 kanals of land in the district is in the possession of influential persons who have constructed mansion and farmhouses on them. The district administration demolished the houses and also retrieved 957 kanals of cultivated land.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the matter, Deputy Commissioner Zeeshan Javaid said that according to the directions of Punjab government, the operation will be done in two phases, in the first phase illegal infrastructure will be razed, while in the next one, anti-encroachment drive will be conducted in urban areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
